Hong Kong, 31 October 2006 ————– Along with numerous other volunteer AIA Hong Kong members, Founding Member Thomas Schmidt, AIA of Sepia Design, played an instrumental role in conceptualizing and organizing the recent AIA-sponsored Pacific Crossings Conference, held at the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong 15 – 22 October 2006.
In addition to creating and leading a pre-conference “Sketching Hong Kong” walking tour around Hong Kong’s historic districts for conference delegates, Schmidt was intimately involved in the logistics and execution of a landmark conference, jointly hosted by the National component of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), AIA Hong Kong, AIA Committee on Design, and AIA Northwest Pacific Region.
The conference was well attended by 400 – 500 architects and design professionals from Europe, the United States and the Asia-Pacific region.
