Along with numerous other volunteer <strong>AIA Hong Kong<\/strong> members, Founding Member <strong>Thomas Schmidt, AIA<\/strong> of <strong>Sepia Design<\/strong>, played an instrumental role in conceptualizing and organizing the recent AIA-sponsored&nbsp;<strong>Pacific Crossings Conference,<\/strong> held at the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong 15 &#8211; 22 October 2006.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to creating and leading a pre-conference <em>&#8220;Sketching Hong Kong&#8221;<\/em> walking tour around Hong Kong&#8217;s historic districts for conference delegates, Schmidt was intimately involved in the logistics and execution of a landmark conference, jointly hosted by the National component of the <em>American Institute of Architects (AIA), AIA Hong Kong,<\/em> <em>AIA Committee on Design<\/em>, and <em>AIA Northwest Pacific Region<\/em>.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conference was well attended by 400 &#8211;
