{"id":707,"date":"2011-11-30T17:23:53","date_gmt":"2011-11-30T09:23:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sepiadesign.com\/?p=707"},"modified":"2025-06-26T18:45:49","modified_gmt":"2025-06-26T10:45:49","slug":"plans-for-lunar-habitat-unveiled-at-amcham-hong-kong","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sepiadesign.com\/newsepiasite\/plans-for-lunar-habitat-unveiled-at-amcham-hong-kong\/","title":{"rendered":"Architect&#8217;s Plans for Lunar Habitat unveiled at AMCHAM Hong Kong"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Hong Kong, 30 November 2011<\/strong> &#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211; Hong Kong-based architectural consultancy firm <a title=\"Company Profile\" href=\"https:\/\/sepiadesign.com\/newsepiasite\/\"><em>Sepia Design Consultants Limited<\/em><\/a> presented their award-winning architectural concept for a lunar habitat at the <strong>American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM)<\/strong> in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lecture entitled, <strong>&#8220;Building on the Moon:&nbsp; The Lunar Scenario of our Future in Space&#8221;<\/strong> was delivered by Sepia Design Consultants Limited Managing Director, <strong>Thomas Schmidt, AIA, LEED AP<\/strong>, as a follow-up to his series of lectures in Boston and Los Angeles in September of this year.&nbsp; Schmidt&#8217;s lunar habitat design was co-awarded the <em>Technical Feasibility and Elegance Award<\/em> by the <a title=\"AIAA\" href=\"http:\/\/www.aiaa.org\">American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics<\/a> earlier this year.
