Managing Director of <em>Sepia Design Consultants Limited<\/em>, <strong>Thomas Schmidt, AIA, LEED AP<\/strong>, led and moderated a panel session at the <strong>9th Annual China Hotels &amp; Tourism (CHAT) Conference<\/strong> on March 27, 2013 in Beijing.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entitled <em>&#8220;Design for the New Era,&#8221;<\/em> the multidisciplinary panel session discussed architectural, interior design and facilities programming trends in hotel and resort design.&nbsp; Panelists included <strong>George Chang<\/strong> of <em>Hyatt Resorts &amp; Hotels<\/em>, <strong>Ken Hu<\/strong> of <em>CCD<\/em>, <strong>Margaret McMahon<\/strong> of <em>Wimberly Interiors<\/em>, <strong>Ian Png<\/strong> of <em>Woods Bagot, <\/em>and<strong> Nigel Summers <\/strong>of Horwath HTL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With over 500 delegates in attendance, CHAT Beijing was organized by <em>Horwath HTL<\/em>, <em>STR Global<\/em>, and the <em>China Tourist Hotels Association (CTHA)<\/em>.&nbsp;
